Computer Artists can offer consultancy services to architects, interior decorators for visualizing 3D architectures, the textile industry, fashion designers, the publishing industry, the education and training industry, tourism development, and industrial design. They can also provide visualization support to filmmakers.

The internet and its diverse applications encompassing every field and aspect of life have created numerous opportunities for Web Page Designers. Besides Software Development Organizations, the Computer Animation Industry is in great need of Computer Artists. 

The unique Certificate Course in Advanced Computer Arts is undoubtedly a boon to the requirements of all these industries.

Certificate Course in Advanced Computer Arts (CCACA) is a one-year full-time course to be delivered in PHYSICAL mode. There are up to 40 seats available at centre offering the course.

  1. Candidate with any one of the following qualifications is eligible for CCACA Course
  2. 10+2 / M.F.A. / B.F.A. / B.Arch / G.D. Arts / Engineering / Science / Arts / Commerce stream or other equivalent degree or diploma holders in the field of Advertising / Commercial Arts / Painting / Sculpture / Textile / Fashion Designing / Interior Decoration OR
  3. Students from other academic backgrounds who have an artistic inclination and creative abilities are also encouraged to do this course. But they must qualify through the Entrance Test. 
  4. Applicants need to have basic Knowledge of using computers.
  5. There is no age restriction for admission to C-DAC’s Certificate Course. Candidates who have appeared for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2026 will also be considered for admission to the above courses. By qualifying in C-DAC's Entrance tests of June and July 2026, such university result-awaiting candidates can apply for provisional admission in August 2026 batch, subject to the condition that:
    • All parts of their qualifying degree examination shall be completed by the date of joining the course, and
    • Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks shall be submitted at C-DAC by 31 Dec 2026.

C Programming

III. 2D Animation  (180 Hours)

a. Principles of animation

b. After Effect

Introduction to After Effects interface, Time line nonlinear editing, Video editing (Includes correct video setting), Character Animation (Rigging of character), Typography Animation, Adding sound, Trimming and editing Video, Color Correction, Exporting Video output.

c. Digital Audio

Basic Qualities of Sound, Digitization of Sound, Sound resampling, Editing and Mixing of WAV audio, Introduction to various File Formats, Audio Recording, Audio editing, Audio Integration

 

IV. Project (120 Hours)



I. UX Process and Architecture (90 Hours)

Introduction to User Interview and research techniques, conducting contextual interviews, collecting and analyzing user data, observation methods and goal setting, understanding Conceptual Models and User Models, identifying different types of users, creating personas and scenarios for user-centered design, wireframing and prototyping for application design flow, visual design principles for product interfaces, user testing techniques including A/B testing and card sorting, and development of a Bus Service App project using research, wireframing, prototyping, testing, and presentation with InVision app

 

II. UI and Web Design and Development (120 Hours)

Introduction to basic HTML coding and webpage creation, understanding the Dreamweaver user interface, creating webpages using HTML tags, working with images, paragraphs, headings, lists, and media integration, applying CSS and CSS3 properties for webpage styling and customization, linking internal and external style sheets, designing website layouts using Dreamweaver, Grid and CSS, developing responsive websites using CSS media queries, introduction to JavaScript programming including arrays, objects, loops, conditional statements and form validation, use of jQuery for webpage interaction and animation effects, integration of jQuery elements, understanding CMS, prototypes, hybrid development for mobile, web and tablet platforms, and introduction to modern concepts such as Design Thinking, AI, and Chatbots through practical website development assignments.

 

III. 3D Game and Product Modelling (180 Hours)

Introduction to the 3ds Max interface and viewport navigation, scene setup and grid systems, creation and transformation of 3D objects using standard and extended primitives, polygon modeling and object editing techniques, grouping and scene organization, 2D spline modeling and use of modifiers such as Extrude, Lathe, Bend, Taper, Noise, and Ripple, product and low-poly game asset modeling workflows, material creation, texture mapping, UVW mapping and unwrapping, texture painting using Adobe Photoshop, animation concepts including keyframes, track view, constraints and camera animation, scene composition, lighting and rendering techniques, and development of practical projects including still life scenes, gaming props, logo animation, and exhibition stall or environment design.

 

IV. Project (120 Hours)


I. 3D Character Animation with Maya (210 Hours)

Introduction to the Autodesk Autodesk Maya user interface, 3D navigation and modeling concepts, polygon and NURBS modeling techniques, creation of product and character models using polygon editing tools, body anatomy modeling for male and female characters, snapping and alignment tools, material creation using standard shaders and surface properties, texture mapping and UV unwrapping techniques, texture creation using Adobe Adobe Photoshop, lighting setup and camera techniques, rigging and skinning for characters and machines, use of IK handles and controllers, character animation principles including walk cycles, action animation, facial expressions, and development of practical assignments in modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.

II. Digital Content (60 Hours)

Introduction to motion graphics and animation principles, timeline and keyframe-based animation techniques, text and shape animation, online advertising concepts and banner design, creation of static and animated HTML5 banners using HTML and CSS, development of platform-specific banners for websites and social media, email marketing concepts and responsive email template design, landing page design with UI/UX principles, webpage development using HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript interactions, introduction to digital marketing, social media campaigns and remarketing strategies, and development of creative advertising projects including banners, responsive landing pages, and campaign concepts.

IV. Generative AI  (90 Hours)

Introduction to Generative AI concepts, applications and industry use cases, AI tools for text, image and video generation, AI workflows in creative industries, image generation and editing using ChatGPT and other AI tools, prompt engineering and prompt refinement techniques, artistic style exploration, character design and consistency, visual storytelling and storybook design, AI-powered advertising and social media creative development, reverse prompting and style recreation, ethical and responsible use of AI, advanced prompting techniques with mood and lighting control, creation of prompt libraries, AI-based e-commerce and branding design, thumbnail and social media content creation, client workflow and presentation skills, introduction to AI video generation including image-to-video and text-to-video workflows, advertising campaign creation, portfolio development, and execution of end-to-end AI creative projects.

V. Project (120 Hours)



The CCACA course will be delivered in fully Physical mode at the training centre. The total course fee is Rs. 1,00,000/- plus Goods and Service Tax as applicable as per GOI.

The candidate has to pay the course fee in two installments as per the schedule.

·         The first installment is INR. 10,000/- plus Goods and Service Tax as applicable by GOI.

·         The second installment is INR. 90,000/- plus Goods Service Tax as applicable by GOI.

The Goods and Service Tax (GST) is 18% as on June 2026 and shall be applicable as per the GOI at the time of admission.

The course fee includes expenses towards delivering classes, conducting examinations, final mark-list and certificate, and placement assistance provided.

The payment of course fees is done through online payment gateway. It can be paid using netbanking, UPI, and credit/debit cards through the payment gateway that will be opened upon clicking the ‘Pay First Installment’ button on the candidate's logged-in page on the C-DAC website. Similarly, to pay the second installment, click on the ‘Pay Second Installment’ button. No part payment of the fees will be allowed for any installment of course fees.

Candidates may take note that no Demand Draft (DD) or cheque or cash will be accepted at any C-DAC training centre towards payment of any installment of course fees.

Eligible candidates who wish to apply to Certificate Course of C-DAC ACTS can apply online through ACTS Website registration link. Candidate must follow the steps given here under to be consider for CET.

The eligible candidates can apply to undertake the Course Entrance Test (CET) through the online registration and application form on the C-DAC ACTS website(https://cdac.in/index.aspx?id=edu_acts_CommonRegistrationfrm&courseid=10) by providing the required details and upload their PHOTOGRAPH taken within last three months.

The candidate is required to select “Mumbai” as the choice of city for appearing for the Course Entrance Test (CET).

There is INR 600 for registration or application fees charged from the candidates to apply for the CET. The CET registration fees have to be paid using the online payment gateway. It can be paid using netbanking, UPI, and credit/debit cards through the payment gateway that will be opened upon clicking the 'Make Payment' step on the main menu of the application. C-DAC does not accept cash or demand draft (DD) from the candidates for the application fees. 


C-DAC’s Course Entrance Test

The admission to the CCACA course is through a Course Entrance Test (CET) conducted at the MET, IIT Mumbai Training Centre. The candidate must appear for CET along with the issued admit card at the MET IIT Mumbai training centre as per the scheduled date and time provided in the admit card.

The CET will be conducted in a physical mode.The duration of the CET will be 3 hours. 

Syllabus of CET

The CET of three hours shall consist of test comprising of 5 questions. Each question shall carry twenty mark total of 100 marks. 

1. CET for CCACA course will try to test the visualization abilities, artistic skills & knowledge relating to communication media.

2. Following type of questions will be included in the CET paper:

i.   Visualization of story board (Series of pictures depicting a story)

ii.  Designing icons for communicating different concepts

iii. Visualization of objects from different viewpoints and 

iv.  Descriptive questions (such as description of an event) 

No special preparation is required for appearing for the CET. The students may bring pencils, pens and dry colour (Colour pencils or crayons only). It is not mandatory to use colours.
