In a significant development, C-DAC Pune signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Aurassure Pvt. Ltd. a company based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, that works in weather and climate change intelligence and related services on September 28th, 2026. The agreement was signed by Dr Asutosh Acharya, co-founder and chief climate scientist, Aurassure and Dr. Manoj Khare - Scientist G &HoD, HPC-ESEG group, C-DAC Pune.

The event was attended by senior officials of the HPC-ESEG group, including Dr. Santosh Kulkarni, Shri Neelesh Kharkar, ShriSahidul Islam, Ms. Pallavi Gawali, ShriAtul Joshi, Dr. Sumita Kedia, Dr. Palash Sinha, Ms. Deepti Sobhani, Dr. Sai Krishna, and Dr. Akshay Kulkarni. This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration with an industry partner in weather and climate sciences, expanding data services, and creating new opportunities for research and development in weather and climate change.

At the event, Dr. Asutosh Acharya demonstrated how Aurassure is advancing climate intelligence to support a more resilient world. Aurassure helps governments, industries, and cities monitor, understand, and address environmental risks using connected environmental intelligence. Aurassure integrates hyperlocal IoT monitoring, AI, advanced weather and climate modeling, and data analytics to provide actionable insights on climate and environmental risks. Its solutions address air quality, extreme weather, urban flooding, heat risk, weather forecasting, and climate-risk assessment, enabling organizations to shift from reactive to proactive risk management. By delivering high-resolution data, predictive analytics, and risk insights, Aurassure supports climate resilience, informed decisions, early warnings, and risk mitigation for communities, businesses, and public institutions.

The agreement strengthens C-DAC’s role as a key partner in environmental research and application development. Aurassure will deploy C-DAC’s comprehensive urban solutions, including a multi-model forecasting platform designed for Indian cities. This platform is capable to provide ward-level rainfall, flood depth and extent, urban heat stress, and pollution dispersion.

Aurassure will use C-DAC’s HPC resources and GPU access commercially for large-scale data processing, high-resolution weather and climate modeling, and AI/ML model training. These resources will speed up experimentation, model development, validation, and analysis of complex weather, climate, satellite, and urban datasets. HPC and GPU capabilities will also enable advanced spatio-temporal models, hyper-local forecasting, climate-scale research, and targeted solutions for urban and industry-specific environmental challenges. This collaboration will further strengthen C-DAC’s expertise in urban and climate research, integrated digital platforms, AI-driven forecasting, and advanced data analytics. It will also support the development and deployment of scalable, real-world weather and climate solutions.
